Cheryl Blue, Executive DirectorMs. Blue was recently appointed Executive Director. She has over 20 years of experience in Milwaukee and Philadelphia, working for non-profit organizations in the areas of youth development, grant writing and project management. She has managed several high-level projects including a multi-million dollar 21st Century No Child Left Behind grant and Philadelphia Freedom Schools. Since returning to Milwaukee in 2010, she has worked as an independent contractor writing grants for non-profits, and managing projects for the City of Milwaukee, Common Council President Hamilton, Running Rebels Community Organization, Universal Companies and the Safe Zone Initiative. For the last year she has served as Development Manager for the Corridor.
Ms. Blue has a Bachelor’s degree from UW-Whitewater, and studied at Temple University’s Graduate Department of African American Studies.
Deantrium King, Community Outreach SpecialistDeantrium King has been involved with The 30th Street Industrial Corridor since 2015 when he began interning as a Web Design and Community Outreach Intern. Deantrium moved to Milwaukee in 2013 to attend school at Marquette University after living in Chicago, Illinois. There, he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Criminology, with a focus in American Politics. After a successful stint working as a Community Outreach and Scholarship Intern with New Futures in Washington DC, he would later return to Milwaukee to officially join 30th Street Industrial Corridor as a Community Outreach Specialist, bringing his professional experience and familiarity with Milwaukee’s community along as well.
